Solutions for the Forever 21 Child Labor Issue
Many attempts at disabling the illicit and ethically terrifying human trafficking operation and child slave labor that massive corporations such as Forever 21 have been made, however, all so far have not been enough. Many large companies that have used Uzbekistan cotton in the past have seen the error in their ways the campaigns like ours and have issued public statements that say they will not use Uzbekistan cotton because of the child slave labor that goes into it. Companies like Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, and Nordstrom have all stated the above; however Forever 21 has acknowledged the use and that is it immoral but does nothing about it. So far the only companies who have not are Forever 21, Aeropostale, and Toys R Us.

Not only is child labor in the Uzbekistan cotton fields an issue, step two of the process of clothing production in the sweatshops around the globe also encounter similar issues, which have exposed successfully.

Solution to Forced Child Labor in Uzbekistan Cotton Fields
1. Have the major companies stop using Uzbekistan cotton, on the condition that if children are not used to harvest they will come back and buy again.
2. Invest in a way to track from how the cotton was harvested until when the clothes are on their shelves; to make sure child labor laws are not violated.
3. Inference social norms that buying from sources that use child labor is wrong.
4. Create new polices in Uzbekistan that condemn forced child labor and replace it with immigrant labor, all of which is still under the labor laws protection.
5. With a population increase above the age of 20 and workers to pick cotton in Uzbekistan.
6. The major companies will use Uzbekistan cotton again since it no longer violated the social norms and Child Labor Laws, and the Uzbekistan cotton empire will rise again and take the country into a higher economic status.

Dozens of organizations such as Fornever 21 have been working tirelessly to further emphasize the ending and exposure of corporate organizations such as Forever 21. Many petitions are being produced and signed by individuals that wish to see an end to the continued child labor usage and slavery in Uzbekistan due to the high demand of the cheap and inexpensive articles of clothing that are being produced by these corporations.
To the left, a petition generated by Change.org calls for many changes to happen in the organization of Forever 21. It states that Forever 21 has the responsibility to speak out against the abuse and take action to make child labor stop. It calls for 4 decisive actions to take place: 1) issue a public statement condemning child labor; 2) instruct suppliers to stop sourcing cotton from Uzbekistan until they cease using cotton; 3) connect with the International Labor Rights Forum; and finally, 4) join with other companies to ensure that worker rights are protecting in the production of cotton.
